Parker had a long history of lies and cons, some for money and some to keep male partners.  At some point, she lied to her boyfriend about being pregnant, a lie that lasted 10 months.   When her supposed due date was close, she set a fire at her house.  Then, when the day of the physicians were supposedly going to induce her labor, a bomb scare was called to the hospital and all non-emergency services were cancelled, as the hospital evacuated over 100 patients.  Parker had called in the claim of a bomb. 

Parker new that Hancock was pregnant and nearing her due date, from their recent conversations on social media. A few days after the bomb scare, Parker visited Hancock. The next day, she visited Hancock again, this time knocking her unconscious, cutting out her fetus, and then slashing and stabbing the woman repeatedly before leaving her to die. Hancock’s 3 year old child had witnessed the murder. 

Parker drove away with the newborn on her lap and was stopped by police for speeding.  Parker claimed to have just given birth and needed medical help with the infant; the infant was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. When Parker was examined, it was obvious that she didn’t have a uterus.  

When she was arrested Parker claimed that Hancock was injured when they fought and then ‘begged’ Parker to do the caesarean section. This did not explain why Hancock’s throat was cut afterwards. 

Parker was found competent to stand trial.   During that trial, multiple people who had known her outlined Parker’s life of lies and cons.  Her second husband reported that she had hid the fact that she was infertile until after their marriage, and went on to fake illnesses including seizures.  Former friends reported that she claimed to be infertile due to cancer. Other friends reported that she had claimed to have miscarried twins, that her husband and she had used a surrogate but he had left her for the surrogate.
