Bustamante posted pictures of herself on FB, with her boyfriend kissing her distended stomach as proof of her pregnancy.  It is not clear from the available media if she was actually pregnant, or if she was simply pretending.  

What is known is that Bustamante traveled to the same village as Baldovino, with whom she was closely acquainted.  The two women were noted to walk through the village together, and then on the path towards the farmland.  

Bustamante went to the local hospital, claiming to have given birth, but it was clear to medical staff that she had not, and the authorities were contacted.
