Waterman created a FB account with an alias, then joined a site for pregnant women and new mothers.  She posted an offer for a work-from-home job and rejected more than one pregnant woman before settling on Bush, who was in her 3rd trimester.   

Waterman arranged for Bush to meet her in a public place and then drove her to the supposed job interview. Instead, she drove to her own home, where she killed Bush and removed her fetus.

Waterman called emergency services, claiming to have given birth at home. The medical services could not revive Bush’s baby.    At some point after this, Waterman confessed her crime to her husband, who helped her partially burn Bush’s corpse and hid it in their yard. 

Waterman arranged a memorial services for ‘her’ baby, but the county coroner arrived to take the corpse for an autopsy.  Waterman’s husband ran from the funeral home, in a panic, knowing they were caught.
