Padron Cano spotted Seba Velasco at the bus stop near a health clinic and offered to take the young pregnant woman to a place where she could pick up free baby clothes. Instead, Padron Cano killed the young woman and cut out her fetus.
Padron Cano brought the infant to her parents’ home but left when they began questioning where the infant came from. They reported her to the authorities and she was apprehended. While it appears that she was given a psychiatric evaluation, she was eventually sentenced to 45 years incarceration.
